Actually watching vids IS vidding research and totally counts as honing your craft I AM TOTALLY FOR SERIOUS
Before I made Last Stand in Open Country, I watched SO many Duncan/Methos vids and I don't even go there.
And I find matching action really hard as well -- it doesn't come as naturally for me as it does other people -- but I can analyze how the people with the good eyes do it and fake it (mostly).
Action is hard - think about all the action movies with fuzzy editing where you have no idea what is happening (any Michael Bay movie comes to mind here) and yet super crisp and clear editing just elevates the medium like in Mad Max: Fury Road.
